After the merger of Bathroom Empire and Bathroom Developments in 2009, Bathroom Empire was set up to supply
bathroom products to both the trade and retail markets.We provide beautiful, innovative, quality merchandise at
affordable prices.
The pace of modern day living dictates that the bathroom be ever more multifunctional. A practical and efficient place at certain times, such as the morning. While in the evening there is often a requirement for more relaxing and
luxurious surroundings. Through our range we endeavour to provide practical, well-designed and serviceable products which are also attractive, striking and pleasing to the eye, opulent yet functional.
We are aware of the ever-growing consumer demand for eco-friendly or ‘green’ alternatives, and are driven by our desire to alleviate pressure on the environment, bathroomempire strive to provide environmentally friendly
products. We try to achieve this without compromising on quality, style and functionality.
A good example of this is the use of bamboo in some of our products. While being an extremely hardy and beautiful material, bamboo has many conservational qualities. It is the fastest growing plant on earth and helps reduce carbon dioxide gases blamed for global warming. Bamboo can be selectively harvested annually and regenerates without replanting. It is a natural water control barrier because of its wide spread root system and large canopy, preventing massive soil erosion. It is a pioneering plant and can be grown in soil damaged by overgrazing and poor agriculture. Because of its dense litter on the forest floor it feeds topsoil, restoring healthy agricultural lands for generations to come.
While it is not practical to produce all goods from the same material, we endeavour to ensure all the manufacturers we use have an ecologically aware attitude. Manufacturers of wood products have a policy of using the most sustainable materials available and advocate green, water-efficient technology. We will always be interested in new and innovative products or methods of production that attempt to help the environment.
